My daughter and I just got back from Kalahari Waterpark and boy did we have fun!

Kalahari ..... oh that is the indoor waterpark....right?  Yes, BUT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE!!!  Where do I begin???? 7 year old is telling me to talk about the waterpark.  Surprised???

Before I start in on the amazing park let me tell you about our start.  We were using GPS and had a little difficulty actually finding the settings needed.  Here's a heads up ....use your intersection feature and put in  Route 314 and Pocono Mount.  That got us right there!

Check in was easy.  We arrived early around 1, check in begins  at 4, but we knew we could use the waterpark even if our room wasn't ready .  No line no waiting.....and our room was waiting for us.  The front desk explained everything nicely, including how our wrist bands were total magic.  Door key, waterpark admission even the ability to charge to the room....all through the blue band.  No more losing room keys or luging around your wallet.  Excellent feature.

OK... this is more than a is Pennsylvania's largest indoor waterpark and outdoor pool and deck (seasonal) and it is INCLUDED for all registered guests!  WOO HOO!!!!  It is 100,000sq feet of indoor water happiness!!!!  The resort offers group get your huge, fun family together and have your next reunion here!!!!  Again, it's so centrally located....even Aunt Bette will do the drive!!!!  OK!!! So we knew we were going to get wet but we  also enjoyed 30,000 sq ft of Family light mini golf, XD Dark Ride , arcade games and MORE!!!!  Can't forget Lazer Frenzy....Ava's favorite !!!!!  Alicia in the arcade area was super helpful !!!!

Kalahari reminded me of a cross between a Vegas Resort  (minus the gambling and show girls) and a Cruise Ship.  We never felt like we had to go off property for any reason.

So here are some of our favorite things about Kalahari....

SO FAMILY FRIENDLY..... every restaurant had a decent kids menu!

The waterpark was super safe.  The Aquatics team was top notch.  Raul and his team were super!  They have a safety feature that requires any child under 48in to be in a life vest.  No worries here!  To a Mom....that is a huge sigh of relief.   The lifeguards were on point.  Never taking their eyes off their  "area".  Amazing!

Loved all the African touches to the resort.  Whether it was the small translation of welcome in Swahaii to the Leo the Lion! Or learning that "Furahi" is Swahili for Enjoy!  Furahi we DID!

I also thought Kalahari was doing a great job with the 3 R's.  They had a recycling bin in our room and they even go out of their way to sanatize and donate used soap to missions across the globe that don't necessarily have access to soap.  Nice.

We checked out of our room at 11 am but they have a great system that allows you to enjoy the waterpark throughout the day.  They hold your things while you still play and have showers and lockers to get you on your way.  Ava summed it up beautifully as we were leaving.  She said, "Mom this is more than a's a family experience!"  Love that girl!  Now if you would like to have a family experience at the wonderful Kalahari......I have a GIVEAWAY!!!!!  I get to give away to one lucky reader....Also....if you don't win the giveaway take advantage of the promo code!!!!!
