AMBLER, PA - - Creativity will be blooming at the third A Date with a Plate event,  May 8 and 9, 2012 where monies raised will benefit the Serenity Garden at Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center. This garden will offer a tranquil space for patients, families, doctors and nurses alike.

Chi Van Dang, M.D., Ph.D., Director of the Abramson Cancer Center believes "this garden's purpose is to create a healing environment where patients facing a cancer diagnosis can come and seek hope. Access to nature helps reduce stress and provides relief from the day's journey.  Nowhere is that need more prevalent that at a cancer center."

This two day event will take place at Peche Sherman Mills in East Falls Philadelphia and celebrates the art of table settings by professionals and private collectors. Professional presenters to date include: Neiman Marcus, Evantine, Michael Shannon Designs, Penncora Events, Cotswold Home, Primrose and Company, Somers Point, NJ, Allium Design,  Sullivan Owen, Robertson’s Flowers, The Hill Company, The Illustrated Gallery, Joseph A.
