While I was in San Diego, at BlogHer I met so many unbelievably amazing people.

My husband always asks me 'Well, what did you learn?' and with that being my 3rd conference this year he skipped the 'what did you learn' and went straight for the 'was it worth it?'.  (These trips tend to be upwards of $1500-$3000..and 6 days in San Diego?  Yeah.  You can imagine how anal my husband was about me going. hahaha)

Gratefully, I can honestly say it was the BEST TRIP OF ALL.

There are so many reasons why.

Besides all the cool stuff I got, the biggest take away from BlogHer was meeting a Senior Producer for ABC.  Holly Hamann founder of BlogFrog approached me in the middle of a session (ahem the only one I attended. GULP) and she introduced me to her.

I had already heard of the Million Moms Project-but hearing their vision and goal make it that much more surreal.  It was one of the best half hour conversations I've ever had with two outstanding leaders in media.  Both sides that I live in today.  Holly in new media..and Teri in traditional were doing something that I knew was only a matter of time to start happening!

Bringing the two mediums together for social causes.

When they asked me to be one of the key moms to rally behind the cause I didn't even blink.

It kicked off in mid September and I can't wait to contribute my part.

So please take the time to become ONE in a million moms making a difference for moms around the world!

The first post, I had to write about a good or bad time in my pregnancy.  And of course, I quickly remembered how scary and awful my delivery was.

Here is the LINK to my story.  And also be sure to spend sometime hearing others!!

Becoming pregnant changed my life, and I’d love to hear more about your best or most difficult pregnancy moments. By replying, you will be entered to win an exclusive Million Moms Challenge Gift Pack, which includes an all expenses paid trip to a conference on mothers hosted by the UN Foundation in DC (Jan/Feb 2012), an iPad2, a custom-made Million Moms Challenge pendant and $50 donation in your name to Global Giving. Contest and prize details here.
