Holiday Lights in Philadelphia

One of my absolutely FAVORITE things to do around the holidays is to drive around and see Holiday Houses.

I can honestly say that I'm sure my neighbors think of my house like the Griswalds'. ha.  Ok, I'm not that bad...but I do have to decorate!

Last year, I came across a great light display not to far from my house.  My longtime sitter took Boston and I and just fell in love!

It's in Ambler and you can see it from 309.  Here is the website with more info:  holiday.acteon.net

Other great places in Philly to ring in the holiday:

Shady Brook Farm

I've actually never been there but hear that it's amazing.  They do a horse drawn hayrides through their lights.  I'd TOTALLY love that!  They are a bit of a hike from my house-but might make for a good night.  Check out Shady Brook Farm at www.ShadyBrookFarm.com.  **They have coupons on their site too.

Koziar's Christmas Village

This looks just AWESOME!  The only downfall is that it's an hour 1/2 away.  I've read reviews on Tripadvisor that it's totally worth it.  Could make a great getaway with family.  There seems to be a lot of great things to see with your family at Koziar's Christmas Village.   Ages 5 and under get in free and adults 13+ pay $7.  Totally great price for a few hours of entertainment!  This fun place has been lit up for over 60 years.

Longwood Gardens

This is always a Philadelphia favorite during the holidays.  I've been there in the spring to see the gorgeous blooms-but never for the holidays.  From a Garden Railway to Breakfast with Santa, they have plenty to enjoy.  It's also a hike from my house-and it costs to visit.  But might be worth the trip!  Check them out for yourself at www.LongwoodGardens.com.

Macy's Holiday Light Show Wannamaker Building

Yes.  This is without a doubt a holiday must!  This year I got to take part in their big holiday kick off season with celebs and singers!  I was the MC for Ben FM and rang in the season with Santa.  (Unfortunately, the OCCUPY Philly people were protesting in eye sight which was a major eye SORE!) But it was an awesome tradition once again.  Be sure to hit up the legendary Wannamaker Building next to City Hall in downtown Philly for their awesome light display!  I'll meet you at the eagle.  =)
