Choo Choo Barn Holiday
This past weekend we took in Lancaster, Pa. We visited the Strasburg Railroad to see Santa and also visited the Choo Choo Barn.
Boston & I had been to the Choo Choo Barn before but my husband has never seen it.
It's just another awesome place that you have to take in when you visit Lancaster County.
It's one of those things you 'just have to see'.
My husband had asked me 'well, what is it?' And I just can't even begin to explain it. I do know that it is without a doubt a trainlovers dream!
The place is FILLED with teeny tiny little pieces that come to life. And with the holidays, the owner gives it a Santa kick!
Let me give you a little insight on this fabulous train display....
I was started in the 60s after the founder and his week needed some extra funds to help pay for college. So he found a great location and opened it up... And....well... the rest is history.
There are soooo many itty bitty teeny tiny scenes that you could walk around this display and see something new every time!
I've had trains in my life. Like Christmas time. We had one around our tree. But this is WAYYYY beyond 'just a train'. You honestly could look at it and find your imagination taking off! What I wouldn't do for that machine that they used in the movie Honey I Shrunk The Kids!
Cause THAT would be fun.
There is a house with carpenters working on it... a house that actually starts smoking, a firetruck comes out-puts up a ladder-then climbs the latter while another fireman actually sprays water on the house!!!
There is a circus...a river...a mountain with snow...a zoo...and soooooo much more! It's unbelievable.
So go check them out at their website. Hop in the car and make a day out of it at Strasburg Railroad then the Choo Choo Barn!
